Padang padang beach is one of the famous surfing point in south Bali. It is located in Pecatu village, 20 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International airport and 5 minutes from GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park). The next from Padang padang beach is Labuhan Sait or Suluban beach which near to Uluwatu temple. Padang Padang, a truly lovely beach with a big surf break offshore beach. The white sand beach here is a little bit narrow at the highest of tides but is otherwise very nice indeed. The surfing point at Padang Padang beach is located under ground in the steeply sloping hillside apposite to the Indian Ocean and has a big wave that good for surfing.

The shooting of “Eat, Pray and Love” movie, starring Julia Roberts also taken a place at Padang Padang beach from October 21 – 27, 2009. Recently, every Saturday night starting from 6 pm there is Kecak dance (monkey dance) performances at Padang Padang temple.
